Emily rolls her eyes

Trapping an immortal being isn't "taking care of it". That's just taking a problem and saving it for later. You think the Lich doesn't have folks on this side who would help bring it back? Or that it wouldn't be able to come back on it's own given enough time? Eternity is eternity. The lich can and will escape someday. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not for the next thousand years, maybe not even the next million, but trapping an immortal being will not be permanent no matter how you do so. Immortal beings literally have all of eternity to escape. Hell your witch friends even said he isn't escaping anytime SOON. Odds are, they both know that he will escape someday, just not soon. Besides, why trap them in Purgatory, one of the circles of Hell would be a better choice.

Regardless, it's phylactery is gone and so is it's physical body. When he does come back from purgatory, he will be killable. I just wish those two witches had waited a bit before banishing him, we probably would have killed him by now rather then just have him trapped. Just help my take the coffin back to the docks. I'll stow it in my ship and leave. Gotta put it back where it belongs.

Actually I think they just like saying the word "purgatory". They think it sounds cool or something. Thelma once told me that neither of them has any clue what purgatory actually is, and that they just send people there because of the name.

Black carries the coffin to the spot Emily pointed out.

Emily just blinks and looks dumbfounded as her mouth gapes

That-that is incredibly stupid. Why would you send someone to a place that you have no knowledge about. For all they know, they could be sending them to heaven, or a paradise or another world filled with innocent people-who are now stuck with an evil lich. Assuming they ARE sending things to purgatory, from what I know it's a place for souls to redeem themselves before making their way to paradise. So it's not exactly a good place to lock evil beings up.

Emily loads the coffin to her ship and shrugs

Eh, maybe shade will come back. Could be he just powered down or something. Though it is a shame he didn't get to finish off his enemy. Hopefully wherever that lich ended up, the folks on the other side could finish him off. Welp, regardless, Got what I needed, time to head home. Might send my buddy Carl out for whatever the next adventure might be-I gotta spend time securing my house.

Shade rose, blinking. E-eh? Gaster's gone? Hmph. Sadly, he ain't your garden variety lich.

[Leo]

Black flings himself backwards in surprise. Two more minutes and I was gonna throw you in that coffin there!

He shakes himself off and stands up. Your golem is over there. Sorry you didn't get to choose which one you wanted, but you went unconscious while Emily and Marla were building. But I think this one is pretty good.

Stone? Not my first choice, but oh well. Gaster might not even be a lich. I don't know WHAT he is, honestly. He's supposedly an eldritch demon possessing the skeletal remains of the greatest mage to ever... well, mage. His power comes from hate, fear, and determination. as well as the millions of souls he's harvested over the millenia.

Emily glares at Black as she protectively moves in front of the coffin

Yeah, you ain't putting anything in here. It's occupied anyway. The runes I made to keep it sealed aren't broken, so I know that Gaster hadn't got in yet. Well a few of them are gone, I'll have to replace them. But it's still sealed shut.

Good to have you back Shade. Give me a minute, I'll make a steel golem for you. I think I see my dog with the steel she went to bring. Also, wish I knew ahead of time he was a demon. I'd have brought some anti-demon weapons and items. Wonder what that box I destroyed was if it wasn't a phylactery. Or maybe he's a demon lich? Very curious.

She quickly get's to work making the body as she calls to the 2 of them

So, what do you fellas plan to do next? I'm going home and securing the coffin a bit better. 2nd time some arse stole it. Might send my friend Carl out to run some errands.

I suppose it's back to retirement for me. I just came around because I was sniffing for Gaster. He'll be back, though. Sooner, rather than later, I'd wager. He never stays down for long. As for the box, is was a phylactery, of sorts. Functions as an anchor to keep him in this reality. Otherwise he's a bunch of little soul chunks all of the multiverse.

Wait a minute, Emily. I'm not done with you yet. You said you could help me find what was stolen from me. And looky here, you're about ready to sail into the sunset and leave me empty handed!

Oh yeah, gotta get your gold right? Or was there something else involved? I'll certainly do what I said and locate it for you. After that, however I'm going straight home. Things to do. I'll send someone to help you in getting it though. I'll let you decide on who. Would you prefer another mage, a strong fighter, or something else? Think about it while I try to locate your stuff with a spell.
