I seemed to have a bug while ranking in USVI I wonder if anyone else did too..a lot moving in..after I got my first rank it said in the messages “you have been named Duke of US Virgin Islands”. Also during the admiral mission I was supposed to defeat Stede Bonnet but when I got to Pania there were sea monsters??? Don’t recall if that was part of Admirals mission.

If ranked up without the sea monsters being killed, they can remain

Noticed nothing odd when i ranked up.

Some missions can be completed without finishing all objectives. Hence as Zeph stated, its probably possible for sea monsterscto remain even though you have moved on.
