A 1d20 roll sheds a big light on things. Thanks CJ.

This will also open other ideas

Luck is always present. It's not that decisive as it looks though. The max difference is 19 points for speed which is not that great and it is surely rare.

1d20 is common usage for many battle cases. 20 at some cases is considered critical (ie, when you roll your attack roll, if you bring a 20, your cannon will always hit - no check on the defender). There is room for improvement here as 1 should count for example as always fail, although this does not currently happen everywhere.

The truth about it is that back when we made PG, we were very secretive about everything. Do not get us wrong; back then finding out how things exactly work was part of the game.

As time passed we said that everything PvP related is bound to always receive full replies from us while we will reserve info for PvE.

I think that it is a good time to increase information flow on the battle engine. In this way, we will also improve it. It is a good engine but it surely can use improvements.

This makes me feel like Bless should be a set value and not percentage off the Dice roll. Set value of 2. Can stack twice.

Die rolls are not included in percentages.

Captain Jack wrote:The exact random for speed is counted as such:

1d20 roll (a die with possible value from 1 till 20) is cast by every player. What they bring, is added to their ship total speed. So if a ship has a speed of 30 and bring a roll of 20, then the final speed is 50.

Just to be clear. The Ships "Final Speed" + 1d20 = New Final Speed?

Just want to make sure the dice are not rolled sooner in the 3 equations determining the "Final Speed"

What part of the equation does Bless effect then?

"5% better attack roll" is why am I asking. The wording is misleading now. ;)

Guessing on the Final Ship Speed? So if that number was 50 and you had 2 bless your number is now 55??
