yep,

in normal circumstances, I wouldn't have bothered either, as you can imagine my time is limited too, same as for many of us around here. and it takes a bit of time away from my little free time to compile and write those feedback messages, the same way it takes you all to read them...

however, in this particular case, I like this game here, mainly because I have a feeling it's relatively complex and not easy to master, as such it's a challenge for the mind, hence I like it... if it would be easy, would be boring to me and I would give up fast...

that being said because I have a feeling I'm gonna like it and as such I'm gonna stick around for a while, then, why not care a bit for the game I like, thus sending constructive feedback to fix some small issues is only a natural step, why not do it, if I can, if I have the ability to see where is room for improvement...

and, from their point of view, the game owners-admins-developers too, how can they fix something, if they are not aware that something needs some attention, and how would they know what needs attention, if we, the users-players don't tell them...

just as a side note, in my little free time I'm also a developer working on a project with my little team and we have the same apparent problems, how can we fix something, if we don't know what needs to be fixed... thus, sending some constructive feedback, altho time-consuming as it is, can help in the end...

that's my ultimate goal after all with all my feedback to help make the game better, for us, for users-players... that's the purpose of this forum, or one of the reasons this forum is operational, to try to make the game better... to share ideas, suggestions, comments and with that feedback...

then lastly I would just add, it's easy for me to write, as this is what I do for a living, every single day, so it's in my DNA... hehe... my only problem is time... too little time and too many things to do... hehe...

Captain Thunder, everyone who takes the time to point out something that he thinks will improve the game, is respected. Whether what he points out is acceptable or not.

The fleet page is indeed a mess. We got another view for it though. You can toggle it from the General Settings here:

The red small letters are indeed hard to read. We will change them now.

p.s.

I'll continue to add here areas that I think may need some attention as I find them

here is one more, in the Skirmish help page, the dark green fonts versus black background

once again the contrast here is weak, and thus making it hard to read and/or uncomfortable

on the same page, however, there is the text "Cargo value" with a bright light blue, and this is easy to read over the black background

here is the link

http://s2.piratesglory.com/index.php?page=help&action=skirmish

now, as an extra note, I was wondering if it's just me seeing or feeling this, so I've asked my girlfriend, my brother and his girlfriend too and a buddy of mine that was at my home for a game of poker, to have a look...

they all agreed with me overall that is somewhat hard to read and it can be uncomfortable over a longer period while playing say more than 5-10 minutes... so, I don't think it's just me, or that I'm color blind or with some kind of sensitivity effects due to colors... hehe...

Perhaps I am only whining due to familiarity but I do prefer the red much more than green for cargo values. Albeit the green can be seen as more easily readable for many.

May I suggest a somewhat Blood-Orange color instead?

We also improved the dark red alert text by adding a nice black border around it which should make it a lot easier to read.

Generally, the colors used should be comfortable in the long term in contrary to high contrast colors.

It will take some time before we get used to it for sure. But the pure red selection there is not good, especially for a value like cargo which we don't use much.

Orange/Yellow is only used to links.

The new message text looks good, would adding the same black border to the old red cargo color work he same way?

Done. We also tweaked the color a bit. It looks better.
